💡 How it looks best
In the middle of a perennial bed, next to a bench or at the front door, the old watering can tells stories of gardening days gone by. Planted with violas in spring, trailing flowers and ivy in summer, heather in autumn – or decorated with a dried arrangement without any soil at all. Planting tips can be found in our guide. The warm rust look harmonizes with plants, lanterns and wooden decor, in both modern and rustic homes.
❓ Frequently asked questions
How do I plant the rusty watering can? The can is open at the top – fill it directly with soil and plant according to the season; a ready-made pot will not fit inside. For outdoor use we recommend a drainage layer of gravel or expanded clay so that rainwater doesn’t accumulate.
What’s the difference between the round and the angular version? The basic dimensions are the same – the round can has an oval base plate and a rounded rose, the angular one has a straight rose and square base plate. Purely a matter of taste.
Can the watering can stain surfaces? On light floors (patio, paving slabs) rust can leave marks – a mat or tray helps.
Will the watering can continue to rust? The rust patina continues to develop naturally outdoors and protects the steel – that’s exactly what creates its lively character.
Is that real rust? Yes – Corten steel, naturally rusted in our workshop. No paint, no coating.
