🌿 Material care explained honestly
The metal parts are permanently weatherproof – Corten steel forms a protective barrier layer beneath the rust. The wood is a living natural material: indoors and in sheltered spots it stays looking like new for a long time; outdoors it develops its own patina with wind and weather – this is part of the rustic character of this column.
💡 Decorating tip
The bowl is removable and can be planted or decorated separately – indoors with dried arrangements, candles and natural materials such as twigs and cones, outdoors classically planted with a drainage layer of gravel so that the drainage hole or slots remain clear.

What is the difference between natural and flamed?
Natural means light, untreated wood – friendly and airy. When charred, the surface is flamed, the grain stands out darkly and the look becomes more rustic.
Can the column stay outside?
Yes – on the patio, balcony or in the garden. The metal parts are weatherproof; the wood will develop a natural weathered patina outdoors over time. If you want to preserve the “day one” look, choose a sheltered spot – indoors the column is a highlight anyway.
Will the rusty parts arrive fully rusted?
Yes. Bowl and lid are already fully rusted when delivered – you can see the decorative rust look immediately, just like in the photos.
Which planter bowl fits the column?
You have the choice: square bowls 40 × 40 cm (standard or 15 cm deep) or round bowls with a diameter of 47 or 50 cm – all removable.

- Heat development: Fire baskets and similar products become very hot during use. Avoid touching them with bare hands. Use heat-resistant gloves.
- Not suitable for children: Keep children away from these products to prevent injury. There is also a risk of injury from residual heat after use.
Cleaning and Care
- Rust products: These are natural products and will continue to develop over time. Cleaning is generally not necessary, as rust is a natural process that gives the product its unique character.
- Powder-coated products: Clean these products with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or wire brushes, as these can damage the coating. Small scratches can be touched up with special repair paint to prevent corrosion.
