💡 How it looks best
As a pair, the cubes flank the front door; lined up in a row, they structure the patio and seating area. Planted with boxwood, grasses or a small topiary, they look architectural and modern; with lush summer flowers, romantic and rustic – with heather in autumn, with branches and fairy lights in winter. Planting tips can be found in our guide. The warm rust look harmonises with plants, lanterns and wooden decor, in both modern and rustic homes.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Can I plant directly into the planter? Yes – the Styrodur lining separates soil and steel and additionally insulates the roots against heat and frost. Simply fill with soil and plant, no inner pot needed.
How does the watering water drain? There is a drainage hole in the steel base. Simply pierce or briefly drill through the Styrodur at this point before filling – then rain and watering water can drain off freely.
Are custom sizes available? Yes – on request we can make the planter in your desired size, right up to a complete raised bed in Corten steel.
Can the planter stain? On light surfaces (patio, stone slabs), rust can leave marks – a mat or tray underneath will help.
Is that real rust? Yes – Corten steel, naturally rusted in our workshop. No paint, no coating.
