❓ Frequently asked questions

Does the bowl have drainage? Yes – small drainage slots in the corners let watering and rainwater run off. You can plant directly into the bowl.

What sets it apart from the shallower flower bowl? The depth: 15 cm instead of 5–10 cm. That means significantly more soil volume – ideal for perennials, grasses and plants with a larger root system.

Can the bowl stay outside in winter? Yes, Corten steel is weather-resistant and frost-proof – the bowl can remain planted outdoors all year round.

With or without support spheres – what’s the difference? Purely visual: on the spheres, the bowl sits slightly raised and appears to float. Without spheres, it lies flat and flush on top.

Can the bowl stain? On light surfaces (patio, stone slabs), rust can leave marks – a protective underlay helps.

Is that real rust? Yes – Corten steel, naturally rusted in our workshop in the Upper Palatinate Forest. No paint, no coating.

Product-Specific Warnings

Discoloration: Rust products may leave stains on floors and surfaces. Use suitable mats or pads to prevent discoloration.
Tip-over hazard: Larger products such as columns, bowls, or fire baskets can tip over in strong winds. Secure them accordingly, especially during storms.
Heat development: Fire baskets and similar products become very hot during use. Avoid touching them with bare hands. Use heat-resistant gloves.
Not suitable for children: Keep children away from these products to prevent injury. There is also a risk of injury from residual heat after use.

Cleaning and Care

Rust products: These are natural products and will continue to develop over time. Cleaning is generally not necessary, as rust is a natural process that gives the product its unique character.
Powder-coated products: Clean these products with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or wire brushes, as these can damage the coating. Small scratches can be touched up with special repair paint to prevent corrosion.
